BASIC JEWELRY MAKING WORKSHOPS

Aim: A basic introductory course into the art of handmade jewelry making. This course is ideal for beginners - anyone with no prior knowledge to jewelry making but with a keen interest in making simple, everyday and wearable jewelry for their own keepsakes or just for the fun of it! Step by step the beginner is initiated into the techniques of assembling jewelry.

In each workshop, the students will learn what tools are used in this trade, what materials are best used for which designs and how to differentiate the various types of natural stones and beads in the market. They will practice making simple necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings.

Duration: 6 workshops – meeting once a week - 2 hours per workshop

Medium of Instruction: English
